It's been a while since I posted on this blog. I have been playing catch up since closing the gallery. It was very hard to do, with such a mixture of emotions. But, we accomplished a lI have been reading and working on a lot of research about social networking and learning about the "Networked Blogs" app in Facebook and wish I had seen it earlier. (Perhaps when I was posting regularly it was not available yet?) I think now that I have this networked through facebook it will be more visable. I have been trying to figure out what do to with what I started with my gallery's following now that I do not have a store front. I do see a need and am trying to figure out how to meet it in our area, for a while I thinking about doing a 'gallery to you' service. I was considering making deliveries within Brooksville/Spring Hill area for orders that are placed on our website and by email requests...I am also thinking of putting some of the work I have at a local shop on Deltona Blvd.
I will figure it out as time goes by. In the meantime I will be doing some local things periodically and staying in touch with our e-newsletter. If your not already on my list, please sign up at the link for this post and you'll always know what is coming up in the schedule. So far the two events you can find me at are: Art Walk at the Market on Main, April 17, 2010, in Downtown Brooksville, and Art in the Park at Tom Varn Park, Brooksville, FL the first weekend of May. This show is run by the Brooksville Fine Art Council. I will figure out some other venues as time goes by. In the meantime, my phone, email and website remain the same.
For past fans of the gallery. I would love any feedback of which artists you liked the most to continue to see new work or purchase their pieces for future gifts. I have limited space in my studio now so I will not be able to carry as many of the artists as I used to due to where I would keep all the inventory. Any feedback on this will help me know what to keep on hand when possible.
Have a great spring!

Just a reminder! Friday 1/22 (tomorrow) is:
Our Final "Meet the Artist~Gallery Night"
jointly presented by the Spring Hill Art League
January 22nd!! (This was rescheduled from 1/15 when a pipe burst due to the extreme cold "wave", which has since been repaired)
Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for your support the past 15 months have been an honor to have members of the Spring Hill Art League's work exhibited in our gallery. I feel very fortunate to have developed some great friendships by offering this venue for our community.
Don't Miss "Meet the artist night" this Friday,January 22nd from 5pm to 7pm. This reception is featuring the work of Marilyn Clifford.
We'd love to have a big turnout for our last 'hurrah'. I can't imagine not having a way to just "make lemonade from lemons" as the saying sort of goes! We encourage as many as possible to come on Friday to our 'always enjoyable' evening to We will be closing some time in February & moving to a temporary home studio setup to wait and see what comes up as we regroup. The overhead in our beautiful location was just more than we could make work for our little business. We are so sorry to have to close but you never know what the future brings! We will still be around, just not as easily visited as we now are. We encourage you to spread the word to others who love our store to sign up for our mailing list so we can stay in touch as we make our changes and perhaps reopen again somewhere new when the time is again right.
We really hope you will join us,
Nanette, Jack & Suzanne
A special note from Nanette:
It has been a pleasure and my passion to have created what transpired in our gallery and though I am sad to leave it, I am glad I got to follow my dream and to be able to present it just as I always envisioned it should be I owe a debt of gratitude to the support of my husband Jack, My Dad, Suzanne and Gerard...and to the memory of my Mom who always was there for me through all I did with my business as I grew and evolved.
